We all are very much aware of the importance and benefits of the WATER in our life. Apart from hydrating our body it plays very important role in maintaining the healthy body and fighting diseases.
However there have been many instances when we have engrossed ourselves in work either at office or at home and we totally forget to drink water for several hours in the go. Result obviously dehydration.
Have you faced the problem of dehydration? If yes go on read further. Today’s article will throw the light on how to avoid forgetting having the water.


·         Drink a glass of water first thing after getting up in the morning.
·         One after brushing your teeth.
·         Drink another glass before going for the bath.
·         Another one immediately after the bath.
·         One when you start cooking lunch.
·         One glass of water after the preparation of lunch is over
·         One glass of water before having evening snacks.
·         One when you start cooking dinner.
·         And one after the preparation of dinner is over.
·         This one is very important - one before going to sleep. This one is the must to aid in keeping body hydrated during the night. And yes of course it does help in weight loss goal.
Most of the studies as you all know recommend to have at least 8 to 10 glasses of water every day. If you can follow the above pointers you will not even notice that you have already achieved the goal of drinking 10 glasses of water in the day.
In case you missed on it don’t lose hope. Here are the other time periods when we can indulge ourselves in drinking the water
·         Before and after every meal. It is advisable to not drink water immediately after the meal. Control the urge after the meal as much as you can or for at least half an hour.
·         A glass of water before, during and after exercise is always helpful.
·         When you reach home from work, shopping, etc
·         We spend 8 hours at office and per glass every hour will make our day with regards to water intake.
Still you are not making up enough water intake hmm read further. Here are other tips which will encourage you to have more water and avoid all the problems that come with dehydration.
·         Set the reminder on the phone to have water after every decided interval.
·         Always keep the bottle filled with water in front of your desk, dining table, sitting area and at every other place you spend your day.
·         After coming out from the restroom and before starting anything else have the glass of water.
·         Never forget to leave home without the bottle of water.
·         Betting time. Bet with your family member or with colleague on water intake.
·         Experience the difference by adding the slice of ginger or cucumber or lemon or mint leaves or orange or strawberries. Be creative and have the tasty water.

·         Drink water in different ways. Here are some to get you going.
o   With straw
o   In your favorite mug
o   Sometimes in bottle. Invest in re usable bottles that come in different sizes and shapes.
o   Other times in the glass
Do note that having too much water is also not good. Moderation is the key. Else you would find the urge of going to the restroom every now and then which may also result in flushing of important vitamins and minerals. Apart from the frequent urination you can also feel nausea because of excess water intake.
Gulping too much water in one go should be avoided in any circumstances. Important point to keep in mind is that you should not wait till the time you are thirsty. Water intake is essential at the proper intervals. Best way to take water is in small sips and at regular intervals.
