My Take on Book: This book helps in changing the focus from your weakness to your strength. Author describes instead on working on weakness, focus your energy on improving your strengths. In simple and clear words, author describes that working on strenght will help in increasing overall productivity and help to live the happier life. This book is based on StrengthsFinder website by Clifton which discovers your top 5 talents based on the answers you opt for the quiz. The author is careful to explain that this quiz measures your talents, not your strengths (despite being called the “StrengthsFinder”), as “the ultimate goal is to build true strength, and talent is just one of the ingredients in this formula.” (p.17). The book serves as a guide to students and professionals to figure out what they want to do with their careers. It also provides important lessons for entrepreneurs struggling in business and for managers who want to understand their team's strengths and convert them into benefits for the organisation. By focusing on their strengths rather than weaknesses, managers can wipe out a lot of negativity from the workplace.
